If you are looking for exercise that is fun, check out Square Dancing. Square Dancing is really Not-So-Square. We use all types of music: country, pop, rock and roll, waltz, old and new.
Square Dancing is really a misnomer, your hands do all the work and your feet follow where your hands take you. No skipping, jumping, bouncing or shuffling. Just plain walking to the beat of the music. On a normal night Square Dancing can be the same as walking four to five miles a night. Numerous articles have also been published about adding years to your life through Square Dancing.
The phrase, "Friendship Set To Music" is really true. Some of the best people on earth are Square Dancers. A Square Dancer is just a friend you haven't met yet. There are no strangers in our activity. Two left feet are OKAY!!!
